Come coordinate yourself from feet to head for greater freedom in your neck and shoulders, and easier, more enjoyable walking.
When all parts of you move freely and are well timed, you’d don’t even think about your walking. But when parts of you don’t move or are out of synch, walking becomes more effortful and less balanced. It can also contribute to neck and shoulder strain.
In this series we’ll use walking as a remedy for neck and shoulder woes by:
- Restoring the natural walking pattern between your hips and shoulders to increase your comfort and range of motion.
- Aligning your skeleton to support your neck and shoulders instead of muscles trying to do the work of bones.
- Activating your arms for more efficient, balanced walking and a happier head, neck and shoulders.
This class will be a mix of lying on mats on the floor, sitting in chairs, standing and walking. Everyone welcome, including wheelchair users. Mats provided.
Class Meets 4 Tuesdays: August 6, 13, 20 & 27
