Many people assume balance problems are an inevitable part of aging—but that’s not so. The real culprits are often habitual patterns of tensing muscles, holding your breath and the fear of falling itself. Fortunately, these are things you can change at any age!
This series will help you:
- Cultivate better connection with the floor for steadier, safer movement
- Breathe and soften so you’re supple enough to recover from little surprises
- Increase the freedom of your head, neck and shoulders for better orientation and more reliable balance
Of course, balance isn’t only physical. As you improve the mobility and stability of your body, you’ll likely feel calmer and ready to respond to life with greater ease.
This class will include lessons lying on the floor, as well as sitting and standing. Everyone welcome.
Class Meets for 4 Tuesdays*: March 7, 14, 21 & 28
* At least 2 students must be registered by Mon 3/6 for class to run.
