During my career as a trial lawyer, I’ve carried a tremendous amount of tension in my neck, shoulders and lower back. Last year I developed a severe stress-related illness and ultimately went out on disability.
Since joining Brandee’s group class, I’ve become aware of things I never knew were going on in my body. The results have been amazing—I have far less muscular tension and much more ease in my movement. Now when I’m in a stressful situation and I notice myself getting tense, I can play with how to soften and let go. Brandee’s classes are a key part of my ongoing mindfulness practice and stress management.
